I keep staring at it trying NOT to see a third egg in the middle but once I saw it I cannot unsee it.

To be fair I apparently have trouble discerning shades. Based on this fancy little test I scored way above normal level in terms of being unable to differentiate shades and tones of red/warm colors.

Most people score around 0-5 and I scored above 60. My score for blue/cool tones was a little above average but nothing major compared to the reds.

One guy I know cannot see pastels. He bought this periwinkle blue car that he see's as being just light grey/silver but it totally looks like a granny car :P he just can't see pastel colors the same way others do.

I think we might have a mouse.

At night, we hear this metallic thunking, like something is flip-flopping in our radiator. It only happens when the lights are out, and only when we're being quiet. Then, when we indicate our presence, it stops.
There was also a weird rustling, like someone had a bunch of tape and was balling it in their hand. REAL close to the bed.

So, yeah. I'm thinking it's either a mouse or a demon or something.

(Oh, God, I hope it's not a demon. I'm so scared of everything paranormal, even though I'm really interested in it. Ugh...contradictions suck.)

Demons are a bloody nuisance. If they aren't cackling on about how evil they are they're angsting about how fine and dandy things where when they were angels or humans whatever. Not to mention, at the end of it, you always need to put up with some prettyboy or ill shaven lout smashing up your house to get rid of it.

If you do have a little furry fellow in your house please use no-kill trap methods. Pleasey squeezy?



Here's how someone caught their furry little invader within an hour!

1. Get a toilet paper tube and crease two lines to form a flat sided tunnel.
2. Put a treat on one end of the tube: A cracker and dab of peanut butter works great.
3. Get a tall (at least 20 inches) bucket. A trash can works well.
4. Balance the tube precariously on the edge of a table or counter with the treat hanging directly over the tall sided receptacle.
5. The mouse will scurry to the treat (they like tunnels) and fall into the trap.

They also put together this little diagram to try if you don't have a tabletop surface you could use:


Remember to release the little fuzznut at least a mile away from your house. Or buy yourself a $20 wire cage and make a new friend. It's not hard to win a mouse over with lots of food >>

Apparently olive oil works well in getting mice off glue boards if you chose that route.

My cat was terrible at catching mice when we had them. She ran from one (she was just a little kitten) and killed another by wedging it in the radiator. We found it a few days later....
My Bichon will catch them in backyard...

We tried the humane traps- they outsmarted them.

Apparently they're looking to make it a full length animation. Not entirely sure how I'd feel about that since the short story format fit in it so well.

Mice suck. Mom, having an old house in the country, has had to deal with them pretty well all the time since she moved in almost a decade ago. We had TONS of traps and baits and poisons in the house for rats and mice for the first couple months, then some traps in the out-of-the-way spots, and now they're mostly gone from the HOUSE, but she still has pest control leave rat and mouse poison in her garage (and spray for spiders*Twitch*), which gets eaten pretty regularly. I haven't seen a mouse around since last fall though, which resulted in me playing a lovely game of mouse lacrosse with a garden spade... (And yeah, I know it can be scary as hell. Soon after she moved in, of course, I'm trying to sleep and I'm hearing a TERRIFYING scratching all in my walls and around my room from the mice. I thought there was a ghost or something coming to kill me X_X)

And considering she shoots groundhogs with a .22 if they tunnel in her gardens/yard, maybe most rodents have learned to keep the heck away. Heck, not many squirrels around, either.
