Most Recent Game Buys? - Page 3

So my wife and I are proud owners of a PS3, having bought one of the Black Friday bundles that come with Uncharted 1/2 and Infamous 1/2

So, anyone have advice of games to play? A few ground rules.

1. It has to be a console-exclusive, sans games that play better on the system than the 360, for example FFXIII.

2. It can't be something ridiculously obvious, like Uncharted 3 or The Last of Us.

3. It can't be MGS4. Not a huge MGS fan, and I already saw the game played to its completion and have no desire to play it.

Seriously though, I also only have my PS3 for exclusives. So...

- Heavy Rain
- God of War III (or the Collections if you haven't played the earlier ones)
- 3D Dot Game Heroes
- Valkyria Chronicles
- Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection
- LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, but maybe that falls in the super obvious category
- PixelJunk Shooter 1 and 2 (PSN games)

And you might dig White Knight Chronicles and/or the Yakuza series.

Yup. Got hitched this past April. My wife is a fellow gamer/cosplayer. I knew this hobby would pay dividends someday!

As for your list:

Heavy Rain - definitely plan to eventually.
- God of War III (or the Collections if you haven't played the earlier ones) - gotta finish II first, but yup.
- 3D Dot Game Heroes - definitely.
- Valkyria Chronicles - oh yeah
- Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection - already have both on PS2. No real desire to replay them.
- LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, but maybe that falls in the super obvious category - yes it does, but do I really need to play 1?
- PixelJunk Shooter 1 and 2 (PSN games) - probably.

Yakuza I'm not sure on (since I played the first game's demo and didn't really dig it, and I'm one of those guys who has to play all of the games in a series even if earlier games suck ass). As for White Knight Chroncles, probably I'll grab 2 if I can find it on the cheap (since it includes all of 1), but didn't it kinda suck?

I just donated to the kickstarter for the game Greed Monger, so I guess I technically bought it. Though it isn't out yet, I quiver with anticipation.

Ehh, it's got a separate set of levels made by the developer that are good. But if you're mostly interested in user created content, you'd be fine with just 2.

I have been buying PS3 games but lately I am cutting down on my video game expenses and starting to save money on other things. Anyway so far in the last 3 months I bought Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Dead or Alive 5. I will continue renting at Gamefly and only get the games that caught my attention(mainly Fighters and J-RPGs).

If you legitimately bought this, that's a pretty good buy. It's pretty hard to find, but I think they may have rereleased it as "Zero Escape: 999: whateveritstandsfor" now because of Virtue's Last Reward.
