Hi all! This is my first time making a cosplay from scratch and I have no real idea as to how to go about making her coat's main part. I have finished the skirt and the part that hangs out of the back of the coat that looks like a small rectangle and covers the back of her skirt but I am now at the point where I have to create the top and main portion of the coat that is sleeveless and has a bunch of detailing. I have no idea how to go about the patterning for it and I would like to make the armorless version of the coat but yet make it as such that I can attach the armor later. I would highly appreciate if people could share the patterns they used or something of the like as it would be a great help to me >.< I am hoping to have this cosplay, sword and all, done for Anime North as I have a group I'm going to be doing this cosplay with and I would love to do a skit.
