Fast Food Worker
I'm a junior in high school, and a (sometimes) proud worker of McDonalds. Between school and work I have no time to eat healthy (other then school lunch) or exercise. Any suggestons? Or ideas?

I'm 16, 130, and 5 foot. I'm not looking to loose weight (Though I'm not gonna say I'm opposed to slimming down :P ) But I need to gain some of my muscle back since I lost my sport.

I used to work at a burger king, it's kind of impossible to eat healthy if you get 50% discounts on fast food O.O
While your at work, can you bring your own lunch/dinner? if not, are you allowed to leave on your break? if there's a healthier fast food establishment near by, you could go there instead.. (The burger King I worked at was right across the street from a subway) How far do you live from your school or your job? If you live close enough to walk or bike there, you'll get lots of exercise.

Try Intermittent Fasting.
When you have the strength to say no to food in general, it gets easier to say no to bad food. Intermittent Fasting does not equal starving yourself. It simply means getting all your calories and macro/micronutrients in a small time window (8 hours to as few as 2). |

You'll definitely need to bring your own meals. Prepare them the night before, and take them to work. It'll be far easier to resist fries if you have food already than to resist fries and try to make yourself go somewhere else on your break.

I have not eaten at a McD's since high school, which is about 12 years ago lol. But these guys are right, make some meals to bring, a chicken breast with some rice would help quite a bit. Plenty of protein and carbs there to help you through the day. I try to eat every about 4 hours depending on my schedule through the day. But 8 hours surrounded by all that crap, its hard to resist, but try!

Start bringing your own lunch. I work at a Dairy Queen and get 50% too. Its so hard to stay away from the Ice Cream, especially since I can get mint dilly bars for $.55. But I have saved a lot of money by bringing my own lunch and resisting desert. Buying something for lunch every once in a while is cool, but bringing your own lunch helps you stay away from work food.
