Zechs OZ Uniform Help

I'll be cosplaying both Zechs and Epyon next year, and I was hoping that you guys might have some hints and tips on constructing Zechs Marquise's OZ uniform, specificly the jacket and boots. Any help at all will be most appriciated.

The boots you could easily do by finding a knee high pair and making the knee protection separately.

If you look through any pattern book at your local fabric store of choice, you can find historical costuming patterns. I wish I could remember what pattern company it was now, but one of them has a very similarly styled uniform pattern.

I also need help with this costume- mainly the mask/ helmet. I've been browsing around here on both the tutorial thread and other people's costumes to get some tips, but no one has posted any relevant info.

Well, the way I made the helmet for my Zechs Merquise costume was by taking an old bicycle helmet and gluing some white foam pieces on to it.
