What petticoat is best for dresses?

I've never had a petticoat before and i really need one for lolita dresses and cosplay dresses, Not sure what type of material makes dresses look better.
Here are too. Which one would make the dress puffy and pretty?

I'd probably guess the second one, but when it comes to petticoats be careful about what it's made of. If it's made of tulle it will flatten quickly, if it's made of chiffon it will last much longer. The first one appears to be made of tulle and the second appears to be made of chiffon, but I can't tell from just the images.

First of all, it really depends on the weight of the fabric that is on your skirt. The first one is meant to give a little poof, the second one will give you more. Neither one of those is good for anything other than a light weight cotton skirt but at least the second one has a chance of staying poofy longer. You might want to check the shape though. Bell shaped petticoats are best for lolita, and those both look like A-lines.

Thanks. I am also using this more for cosplay than lolita would the second one still work? Because some cosplay dresses i dont think would look that great as bell shaped.
What about something like this?

The shape of the dress/ figure you want should be the first thing considered when looking for a petticoat, the amount of pouf second. I agree mostly with what was already said- organdy (not chiffon, they look the same but chiffon is soft while organdy is stiff) hold it's stiffness better than tulle but both can be starched & re-poufed with some time invested. Hanging them where they won't get crushed when not in use it the best way to have a petticoat last a long time.

Being a tall classic Lolita, I prefer a petticoat like this: http://www.qutieland.com/product.php?id=1069

Also, having sensitive skin, I always prefer organza petticoats over anything else. An extra plus besides softness, is that organza will never un-poof because it gets its poof from sheer volume of fabric.

These are more good options that I personally would consider: http://www.qutieland.com/product.php?id=491

I don't know where to find good bell-shaped petticoats in organza, however, as I primarily wear closer to A-line Lolita skirts.
