I only discovered lady products came scented when I got one from a friend and it was blue, while the same brand I bought were white. Then I eventually learned that the scented ones were doing funky things down there.

But the question still remains, why are the handles scented?

The fabrication process makes them so, the reason why it does is that some people in marketing thought it would make them more marketable to women.

Why? Because people who work in sales and marketing are aliens not from the human race, they do lots of strange things, but there's sometimes where they hit jackpot.

It's not really ignorant so don't worry about it, it's not something we're told about when we're young. I think perhaps scented products like that are a fairly new thing so it wasn't ever an issue in the past? -shrug-
Yeah, I never had an problems with the short-term/occasional use of the packages I've bought by accident, but I really dislike the "fresh scent" they use! >_<

Yep. Lady-types like smelly things. Shampoo, soap, moisturizer, candles, lip balm, laundry detergent, razors. If it's marketed towards women, especially beauty products, there will be scented products.

What, am I the only woman who sniffs her razor handles after scraping them up her shins, and appreciates the scent of artificial lavender mingled with skin and stubble?

A scent on the handle really isn't necessary when so many of women's shaving creams come scented. However, I use Barbasol these days, works so much better than my girly shaving creams.

If it smells like copper, you're just shaving wrong.

The fresh scent of stubble in the morning.

I never smelled the handles of my razors and the only scented stuff I have are the usual shampoo, body wash, body spray, etc o_O

In fairness, I would much rather be thinking about attractive men and far-off places than pantiliners.

Then again, I would rather be thinking about pantiliners than exercise. So.

Is it weird that this very topic has been weighing on my mind ever since I posted it? I'm going mad slowly... @.@ And yes Penny, dead skin and stubble is the best scent ever.

I find your lady razors subpar when compared to the manly-man blades I use to tame the testosterone-laden forest that rests on my rugged chin.

I've never noticed any scents.
