eh i like krylon better, but this only works if u compare the two of them as both water activiated. you cant compare the krylon aquacolor to ben nye cream (which i woul never use!)

Ben Nye is completly opaque, which work well. You don't need to put 38439889374895 layers of it to get a perfect color. I hate using water activated makeup since it always looks like your face is marbled...

I personally suggest cream makeup, but that's my opinion

I've only used Ben Nye, and it's very nice, doesn't bother my skin and washes off very easily. However... it also RUBS OFF EVERYWHERE very easily too.

Although it isn't one of the two options, I've had other homestuck trolls recommend the wolfefx cream colors, as they don't need to be touched up nearly as much throughout the day.

I think both are good options (though I've never used Ben nye) my friends do.
I use Krylon because it's hypoallergetic/noncommunagetic (pardon my poor spelling lol) and my skin's very sensitive but works well with it. ;u;

just a general thing I like to point out that clams of noncommunagetic are hogwash and not recognized by the FDA in the US. They put them on to sound more impressive and Krylon if they are making that claim are only fallowing a trend.

That said I trust pretty much any and all reputable theatrical makeup brand over anything in the drug/depart,amet store in terms of cosmetics as they have no added filer or perfumes.

But as to body paint I recommend the liquid/water based ones as they will not rub off on other people you bump into, I stay clear of Homestuck cosplayers just in case because I don't want my costume stain grey (or Blood on other costumers >_<). You can then seal them with any setting spray to prolong their wear.

Mehron's line I've have not had an issue with patchiness.

Another option is to wear stocking on the arms and legs and paint for face with a matching shade of grey that you mix to match. That way you can have cream makeup on your face and not have to worry about your body.

Both are good makeups in water activated cake formats. As as Paradise or Wolfe. Get one that best matches the color you want. Practice the application. Most just don't do this. Practice with face and body painting makeup sponge and brush. You can make to makeup more durable with a fixing spray such as Kryolan, or Mehron's Barrier Spray.

I've used both, and I would say that if you apply the Ben Nye properly and use powder and sealant, it works a lot better, looks a lot nicer in photographs, and, if you seal it well, does NOT rub off at all :3

That's a quick test I did with Ben Nye Magicake Aqua Paints. It's water activated but I got it to look very opaque in just one layer (and they're fairly cheap). To get it to look thick, I first primer'd my face with a light concealer, and I used a medium sized make up brush to mix up the paints in their cases until I got the shade I wanted. use a LOT of water for this, because you really want to mix that paint up (and it'll dry later so don't worry). Before putting it on your skin, let the paint dry a bit because this makes it thicker. Once it's thicker, you get this even layer of paint that looks really good.

I hope this helps with your decision!
