ALSO, this thread is about two months from being ten years old!!! I have to think of doing something special...Any ideas? I'm thinking a video with voice overs reading some of the prominent posts or something like that. Or everyone can film their selves saying Happy 10th Anniversary. Hmmmm!

I scrolled through this forum after searching for help on my craft foam construction and had to comment in thread.
Yeah, we need more black cosplayers, let alone black characters in entertainment!
I'm just starting but I hope to have lots of fun!

Hi, i'm not yet a cosplayer but i am aiming to be one in feb when I go to my first con.

And yeah I am black and I'm mostly trying to find anime characters that I can cosplay.

Thanks, for the encouragement.

I'll probably cosplay as other charaters later, I really want to cosplay as some of the female pokemon trainers (since they are much easier to do than the choice I have). And you are right I don't have to limit myself.

Hey I ran into you again! ^^ Anyway I can totally relate when it comes to "trying to find anime characters that you can cosplay", but it's true you can cosplay WHOEVER you want. I still am a bit iffy when it comes to cosplaying characters of a different skintone, but the point of cosplay is having fun^^ I'm FINALLY (after 2 years of cosplaying) going to get out of my comfort zone and cosplay as Anise from Tales of the Abyss. Cosplay is about picking a character that you enjoy, not because their skin color matches yours ^^

I cannot wait to go to my first con and thanks to you guys I basically also wanna cosplay my favorate non-tan charaters along with tan charaters.
