Big Barda
Working on my Big Bard costume today.
I decided to make a skirt instead of shorts, it felt more comfortable. Finished my cape today also. Does anyone have any suggestions for the top? The material I have doesn't stretch very much, so I can't figure out how to make it. I just started learning to sew so I'm not very good. ( the pictures are kinda pixelated :/ )Last edited by Alizara : 11-26-2012 at 11:00 PM. |

Looking pretty good. My wife has always said she wants to do Big Barda but isn't sure she could pull it off.
Looks like the noseguard of the helmet comes down a bit too far, compared to the reference pic. Your eyes are covered a little more, too.

I agree, I have to remake the helmet anyways it sorta fell apart after applying paper mache to it. :/
Soooo...I've got the top to "fit" and I use that term loosely. I still need to make a few adjustment. But I made it and it actually looks semi right! Only 6 more months until Comic-Con! Hopefully it'll look right by then. All I have to do now is get my boots so I'll be 6'3", not exact, but close enough. Also gotta get a my body suit too or else I'll be wearing my pajamas to Comic-Con. But other than that I'm almost done. XD Sorry for the picture quality, I just used my web cam. ![]() |

Here's my progress so far. I'm thinking of resizing the helmet.
