Okay as far as local cons I know about Anime Detour, Mars Con, Summer Con, AniMinneapolis, and Convergence. Are there any more. They don't have to be Anime Cons...just fantasy/scifi. I'm a well rounded geek.

Actually, next week at the Ramada next to MOA there is Anime Fusion. I'm thinking of going but can't justify $40 for a day trip. Not this Saturday but last there was Fallcon at the Fair Grounds. That was fun. Come May there will be SpringCon.

Currently, I only go to Anime Detour and Animinneapolis. I really wanted to go to MetaCon at the end of August, but I had Ren Fair that weekend. There are other cons I wish I could go to, but I don't actually live in Minnesota - I live about an hour and a half to two hours away from Minneapolis, near Eau Claire, WI.

GAH. It feels like it's been forever since I went to a con. I miss it. T_T

I am a long tim e cosplay based inthe Twin Cities. We only have the 5 cons a year, so we need to come out in force. Alwasy happy to talk to other people who share this interest.

Which type of cons are you talking about. For years I'd only know about like four. And now in the past year I've learned about so many more. They just are not all anime. There is suppose to be a British con (though it may have passed), Con of the North (which is a gaming con), and Fabletown (a comicbook con for fantasy and fable comics) all in the next few months.

Thought I'd pop in and say hello, though I see this thread is a little old. I've been going to Detour since 2010, went to Animinneapolis and Metacon last year, and planning (fingers crossed) that I'll be attending all three again this year.

I've only done a few cosplays. Shunsui from Bleach, Vincent from the game Catherine, and young clone Abe Lincoln from Clone High, but I'm really looking forward to some of the ideas bubbling in my head.

Hello to you darkflame! Oh, Shunsui! I think I've seen you around the con too since 2010 (or was it 2009) was when I started attending Anime Detour regularly. Shunsui is hard to miss, hahaha. Hahaha! Hope to see you around Anime Detour again.

Kind of on topic, who else has registered for Anime Detour 2013? Because I have. Hahaha! Anyone got their cosplay plans lined up yet?
