No hurt in trying, yeah.
My big thing is creating the costume. I'm a big crafter type, and getting into cosplay was a challenge I couldn't shy away from. Beyond that, I enjoy acting as the character and meeting people who do the same, especially in a community where nerdiness is celebrated. It's so much fun to not be the shy kid, if even for a weekend. I imagine you do a lot of group cosplays?
