It's cray cray guys. Like. I don't even know what to do. It feels like I am in the twilight zone. She had put together two stockings for me and Brando that had some chocolates in them and every year she stuffs them full of socks and other little silly things but i got sock monkey mittens! Brando got fuzzy winter socks he really needed. Brando also had a $50 giftcard to Best Buy and I have one to Old Navy. I really need winter clothes that fit better and could use some new pants so I am looking forward to going. My mom also gave me these super great fuzzy slippers from Avon and a purple button up cardigan.

But the best part is she didn't make any nasty or snide commentary about picking out a size for me.

Considering what she got me for Christmas is all pretty much clothing based I was expecting at least SOME kind of commentary about what size I am.

Awww, just what I suspected at the post office (after I stood around in a huge line for nearly ten minutes). Because I didn't pick up bf's birthday cookies fast enough, they sent me a new pickup notice AFTER I'd picked them up the day before. Frack. So no secret santa gift yet.

On a good note, I just won $20! Tried a new "Frogger" scratch card out, to my luck.

In the past week, my boss:
-Told me the triumphant story of finding a pair of Cole Haan boots she wanted on sale at Bloomie's for a mere $200, when they had originally been $500, and expected me to be happy for her even though I can't even buy Christmas presents because I'm so broke.
-Complained to my student assistant, who is Black, that the damp weather was terrible for her hair because "I have kinky hair!"
-Informed me, when I said I had to get supplies to make the baked Brie I bring in every year, that this year I should make individual portions for everyone in the office so no one had to share. One of the nurses came up to me later and told me she couldn't believe she'd said something so nervy and demanding.

I like many things about my boss, and I don't think she's a spiteful or bad person, but she's just so damn ignorant and blurts things out without thinking about how it sounds. If "check your privilege" was in the dictionary, and the dictionary had pictures, you would see her face there. This week she's been getting on my last nerve; I know she has stuff going on at home and she's stressed out but each day I come in praying she will finally decide to keep her mouth shut.

She sounds just totally oblivious to the lives of others and their struggles. To her your super delicious sounding snack is taken for granted because she's on the getting end..not the giving. i got pokemon black 2 on sunday and have been playing it on my daily commute. just evolved my joltik and scraggy today. so happy. they are my favs. xD
