Just don't forget the difference between splurge and waste. Lattanzio was most of the latter. At least if you splurge, you, or the fans, get _something_ back for it. Splurging is something like the Nokia, nice to have but not an absolute requirement. When the money is there, spending it doesn't have to be a bad thing. There were years when they were able to have the Nokia and still come out close to budget-neutral. Waste, try the episode where they paid a lawyer $400K to try to shut down a smallish convention in Florida because they had a similar name (Florida Anime Experience). With waste, the fans/industry/you get nothing back, it's like flushing money down the toilet.

I kind of like this announcement if only because Piccolo and Vegeta are my two favorite DBZ characters. Wonder if they'll be getting more DBZ related VA/seiyuu to go along with these three?

In any case, I would expect the first Japanese guests to start being announced after the new year as I don't think anyone expected really big GoH this early on.

Am I the only one that's surprised that AX has announced GoH this early on, much less three already?

It's odd, I guess they want to go ahead and announce the domestic/local GoHs since it warms up everyone for the big name GoHs from Japan.

I agree, didn't we used to have to wait til March for a guest announcement? This isn't a bad change.

And I'm looking forward to these guests, if there's not going to be a Dragonball Z panel with these guys then that would just be a huge waste

I could be wrong, but that seems to be the way they have done it in the past. A few domestic/local guests then the floodgates open on the Japanese guests...

Usually February/March at least...the last couple years, we didn't get a bulk of guest announcements until April or May it seemed.

It said in the release on Christoper Sabat that he, Kyle Hebert and Eric Vale would be participating in a DBZ Voice Actors panel...which I think is a must. I just hope Sabat doesn't get a hundred requests to say 'it's...over 9000' in Vegeta's voice :/

I will most DEF be going to JAPAN EXPO USA this next year I am giving up 5 other Con's to attend. I am looking forward to some BIG Name Music Guests! although the Theater that is in the Convention center only seats like 700 people?...

As long as AX keeps bringing in the Musical GOH I will continue going it's pretty much what I go for anyways. I don't attend Panels or gatherings. Concert, Autographs and Dealers Hall those are my 1 2 and 3 at AX.

Meh...if the concert is free as the press release says it is, then I'll check it out. Otherwise, not going to spend a dime or use the free concert ticket that comes with my Premier Pass on this one.
