personally as a son of a military man (21 years army lt colonel and hes still going)
i think that a soldier who has served should be proud to see a civi wearing the uniform albeit not in the same manner but for me when i wear it, im saying im proud of the men and women who serve this country have saved me from tryanny and pain and suffering and protect my friends and family, and i wear it in honor of you brave people.
although i do have some old stuff my dad gave me when they switched over to acu's that he had ripped into shorts and vests, but still he wore those when he was serving at one point so it makes me proud to wear them

also i love the old bomber and olive drab uniforms, and combat boots are a staple in my fashin
and the hats of many different countrys officers that i collected when i lived in germany are great to
