Cosplay Wings help!! Please if possible!

Im working on Finishing up my Princess Celestia cosplay with Wings but there are so many things running through my mind!

Like
1) How do I make them flexible so I dont whack someone in the face?

2) Im wearing a thin strapped Full size wedding gown! How do I hide the ribbons/support straps?

3) How heavy will they be?

4) what kind of materials should I use???

Just so many things running through my head!!! Please help if you can!

Well, I really like how this Celestia cosplayer did her wings. I think they connect to clear bra straps, somehow rigged to the outfit.

I'd strongly recommend using muslin to make feather's or even perhaps going so far as making it out of paper. Real feathers are a pain the butt to make andd even more so to maintain.

You could essentially use card board to form the wings and then paste paper on it to however you like. I think using the paper method, you'd be able to use a wire coat hanger and then velcro strap it to a bra. I'd highly recommend the velcro you'd find in hardware stores as those can really handle wait and stress fairly well.
