Flip Flops, Flip Flops....Flip Flops.
I had the same debate when doing my Lucy cosplay and I agonized over it. I wouldn't trust the floor and usually when asked for a photo I'll take them off or just take the photo with them on. For sanitary purposes it's never okay.

Thank you very much everyone! I wasn't planning on doing a barefoot cosplay any time in the near future, but I was very curious for reference. The Dance Paws, wraps, clear shoes and flesh-toned socks seem really interesting, though flip flops are probably best for a cheap or last-minute replacement.

The one time I took off my shoes at a con, because my feet hurt, I was took to put them back on by security no less. Not volenteer, or con staff, but security.
