Help? Covering gloves with paper mache.
Hoping someone could give me a bit of insight before I go about purchasing these gloves.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg I'm wondering if I'm able to cover them with paper mache? (If the link doesn't work, they're plush hulk gloves) I want to be able to colour them and add embellishments to them. Or if you guys have any suggestions on what I could do instead? I want to make them look like this: http://cghub.com/files/Image/380001-...48/826_max.jpg |

U can't use paper mâché as it'll crack off if u move ur hand too much. If u want to go the route of buying and altering go with adding apolstery foam to it.

Agreed. In general, you cannot adhere rigid materials over flexible ones with good result.

Thirded. Upholstery foam or insulation foam, and then lovingly paint latex all over it.
But really, if you're doing that you may as well just buy a pair of cotton gloves and mount them inside some insulation foam and carve the fists you want. It'll be more comfortable, cooler, and have a better outcome. |
