how to give a shiny appearance to opaque fabric

This is my problem, I bought a opaque fabric because the pattern is perfect to the fabric I going to used to my cstume, but the only wrong with this fabric is that I need to give it a shiny appearance, I was looking for a kind of varnish for fabrics of course, and flexible but I cannot found it!

this is the fabric I get:

This is the appearance I want to get:

As you can see, the fabric is shiny, something like vinyl.

I'm curious about this too. There are a few black PU leather pieces I'd love to give a shiny PVC look to.

Plus bump for Jasmine! Extra love to Versailles <3

Pellon makes an Iron on vinyl you might try?? I mean, I'm not sure what the finish is on it (matte or shiny) but you might look at it as an alternative??
when you have the corset made you could go over the vinyl with a mixture of gel medium and modgepodge gloss finish sealer

Well, The fabric I have is matter :/ and I want to make it shiny, maybe Mod Podge is a good option, I didn't know that was flexible in the fabric, but I going to check out!

I've used the iron on vinyl, it would actually be very suitable for the effect you want. BUT you must put it on the fabric before cutting and assembly, if you try ironing it on a finished garment it'll look like someone wrapped you in plastic wrap.

I made a lunch tote from cute quilting cotton and that vinyl, lasted a whole school year before the seams started to crack and peel.
