I'm really happy that I might have a group to cosplay Sound Horizon with! I don't know that many people in my area who even heard of Sound Horizon, so when one of my cosplay friends on facebook hinted on cosplaying a character from it, it made me incredibly happy~ ; v ;

After two years out of the cosplay scene due to various RL issues, I was all ready to have a fun season this year... and boom, I'm gonna be in surgery (and subsequent recovery). >_<;; Low risk stuff, but enough cutting and stitches to debilitate me for a while. ;o;
*sigh* 2014 it is. Maybe I can get some sewing done this year, anyway, but I doubt I'll be up to cosplay.

It was actually warm today! So I spray painted my friend's Saber sword. I still need to figure out how in the world I'm getting the black markings on it. The original use painter's tape did not work the first time so I need to think of another way. I really want to test if sharpie would work...
Also discovered I have enough left over fabric from Saber to make Morgiana's bra. ^_^ I really need to stop working on future cosplays and focus on the ones I need to get done now. Lol.

Sweet - the fabric I ordered for my 10th Doctor Suit came in. It. Is. PERFECT! Just the right shade of blue, and it has tone on tone pinstripes, which I can use as guides to create the bright red pinstripes. (Yeah... I didn't bother to order a swatch... that was likely dangerous, but everything turned out better than expected).
At just under $4 a yard, it is a pretty good deal for twill suiting material. But I can't start on it yet, since I've got a vacation next week, far, far away from a sewing machine.
