Belle's Ballgown Help
Hi, I'm making the gold ballgown the Belle wears in Beauty and the Beast. I have the pattern, I have the fabric I just need help with one thing: How do I make the "ruffles" or whatever they're called on the skirt?
I'm not talking about that dark gold band that's wrapped around the dress, but all those little bunches that's in the actual skirt. So far I'm thinking of making the shirt pieces longer than they're suppose to be and then bunch the hem lines together to make that look (if any of that made sense). My question is, is there another (proper) way to get that look? I don't know how many here cosplayed Belle, but I'd love the help XD Thanks! ^ ^ |

I would just make the skirt extra long and then gather those parts. (:

I agree, they look like they're gathered and by doing a quick image search it looks like it's the method used by most cosplayers for that dress

Belle gown pattern
Hi,
My daughter would love to have Belle's dress as her wedding gown (hopefully August 2013), but I am having a hard time finding the pattern. You mentioned you have the pattern, would you let me know which pattern you are using and where you found it? Thanks so much, I appreciate any help you can give us! |
