So, I already have a Pinkie Pie cosplay (t-shirt w/cutie mark, skirt+leggings, shoes, socks, wig, tail, ears), but I want to do something different with it. I was considering several things, what she wore in dragonshy, the bad gala dress, or I could be lazy and get an umbrella hat (feeling pinkie keen), or a deerstalker hat and pipe MMMystery on the friendship express). Does anyone have any thoughts?

AAAAAUUUUGH. I finished my Rarity! Well, sorta. There are still a few kinks I want to work out, but it got finished in time for Halloween! And I am so happy it did because I was crying the 29th thinking I would never finish it. Such a simple pattern but it was so much hell to make... But I am loving the end result, I really am. :3

So my three year old niece comes up to me the other day and we have the following conversation:

Niece: I wanna be Princess Celeshta and you can be Princess Luna Moon.

Me: Okay, we can do it for next Halloween.

Niece: Why Halloween? I wanna be Celeshta now.

I love my niece~ Of course, she can't decide whether she wants me to be Luna or Cadance now - not that I mind either one, they both present their challenges.

Any suggestions for the articles of clothing for a Rainbow Dash cosplay?

I'm thinking jean shorts, rainbow socks....not too sure what to do with my top....

And where can I go for cheap aviator goggles? O.o

Do you have any military surplus stores near you? A friend of mine found a blue flight suit at one so I'm sure you'd be able to get some goggles at one too.

Yeah, I got a pair of aviator goggles at a military surplus place for $10. They're multi-use, to say the least.

On another note, what's the opinion on digitigrade legs (not unguligrade because that's just ridiculousness) for an MLP cosplay?

O_o I'd think just the goggles, I mean she doesnt actually wear clothes (unless you count her gala/wedding dresses) I'm only going with a vest/armband/boots because I'm doing her Winter Wrapup outfit since I've NEVER seen it done before...

Personal opinion: if you want to pad the legs to look digi, then that's great, but if you plan to use actual digi stilts (which add 6-24" to your height depending on the build) then unless your rediculously short it looks really stupid (after all these are PONIES aka miniature horses)

Likewise, if your short and want to modify some stilettos to be hooves, that's great too, just keep in mind your height, it looks wierd to see a short character towering over everyone......

Also...

I asked this in a thread below but maybe more ppl will see it here... opinions on cartoony pegasus wings (shaped just like the show) vs feathered "angel" wings?
