Question Armor Templates?

I'm going to be trying my hand at some armor making very soon, and I was wondering if anybody here has a template or pattern that they won't mind sharing, so I can get a little jump start?

I would need just about everything though... chest, waist, thighs, shins, arms, fingers, etc etc.

It can just be basic armor, nothing detailed or fancy. As long as I can get the general size and shape, I think I'll be good from there.

And yes, I do realize I could've searched the forums for this, but I think asking directly would be easier.

My best suggestion. Look into pepakura. People have made files for Iron Man, Halo armors, heck I even made files for Alphonse Elric.

I think you're better off requesting the patterns for the actual armour you're wanting to make, if you can. There are so many different styles that there's really no generic shape.

If you want to go really, super, super simple you may as well trace a pattern off a shirt.

As far as basic armor patterning these guys have the fundamentals covered as far as darting and dishing. I learned most of my technique from them.

Thank you for the responses guys. I think I will incorporate everybody's idea here so far and come up with something.

I'm going to be making Gilgamesh's armor from Fate/Zero. There's not alot of details to it, but this is my first time making full armor and I want to get this done right. I'm using Sintra, along with a little bit of styrene sheets for fingers and such.

Don't stop shooting me tips/ideas though. The more the merrier!
