Wig Tragedy. HALP

Welp. I was working on my Sailor Moon wig, and cut off one of the ponytails as said in this tutorial by antiquity dreams. http://youtu.be/4Y4FD4Pso_I

Idk if that link is gonna work. But when I cut the tail off, the hair tie fell off too.
I realize that I cut it too short and how to prevent it on the other side.

My problem? How do I salvage this horrible half? I have it bobby-pinned back up in shape, but have no idea how to secure it so it doesn't fall again.

Halp?

white glue the ends of your stub in place. if it were me i may even just get mad at it and hot glue it to save time as youre not going to reuse the base wig for anything else, are you?

The base wig is only being used for the SM cosplay, so hot glue should be fine to use.

Caulk is what you need. It's what the Katie Blair hair stubbing tutorial uses. Holds and lasts longer and better than the other two options

Welp. Thanks for all the ideas, but I'm probablly giving up on this wig. Whenever I try to do anything, wig hair falls out of everything and does just the opposite of what it needs to do. Between the base wig falling apart and the buns falling out from the middle and the 3rd degree burns I've already been to the doctors for, I'll put my sailor moon cosplay behind me. Whenever I have the money, I'll ask Antiquity to make it for me.

Tl;dr: I can't do wigs.
