Lord of the Rings Elven brooch help
Okay I am doing a Frodo Baggins cosplay an I had my friend make me the elven brooch the fellowship members receive. She made it out of model magic and it looks fantastic. My only problem is, is that I do not know how I should attach it to my cloak. I do not want it permenatly on the cloak and it does not need to hold the cloak shut it is strictly just for show. I know that model magic is not a very durable material which is why I am conflicted as to what I should use. I thought about hot gluing a safety pin to the back but I feel that would be a bad move, so then I thought about using one of these http://img1.etsystatic.com/000/0/615....222314861.jpg
But I am not sure if that will be safe either. Any help would be much appriciated. ![]()

They make jewelry pin backs. You can buy a pack for like a dollar at any craft store. They're flat on one side precisely so you can glue it to the back of a brooch.

Just to put it out there, they used to sell licensed brooches. My sis bought one and used it on her cloak. It worked just fine.

Using Velcro would be good too, since you can just take the brooch on and off whenever you want to.
