Fake lashes before contacts?

So, for the first time, I'm going to be wearing contact lenses for a cosplay I am doing!

But, I am also going to be wearing fake eyelashes.

NOW! Before your all like "omg! Contacts before makeup!" I know this.
The difference between eyeshadow and fake eyelashes is fake eyelashes have glue. Messy, messy, glue. Glue that I somehow tend to get everywhere every time I try to put fake eyelashes on.

So, do you guys think I should put on fake eyelashes, let them dry, put in my contacts, then do my makeup?

Or contacts, eyelashes, makeup?

Thank you!

I do contacts first, but not because of the "contacts first!"... uh, "rule." (I usually find that my contacts are inserted whenever I remember, which is usually in the middle of my make-up application.) However, I make it a point to do contacts before false lashes because whenever I insert contacts, I have to pull my eyelids out and over the contacts to set them. One time, I accidentally pulled my false eyelash off when I did this, thus I always do contacts first now.

Please always put contacts in before you apply anything cosmetic to your eyes.
Even though you are messy with the eyelash glue, I doubt any would come in direct contact with your cornea while applying your lashes~

Also if you were to apply the lashes before your contacts, it'll be much more difficult to apply the lens without ruining your lash job, and you'd have lash glue all over your hands if you truly are as messy with the glue as you say you are.

Just make sure your hands are clean when you handle your lenses, and good luck! :>

You shouldn't be messy at all when you do your eye lashes! Put a very thin line of glue on the lash and then blow on it gently for a few seconds to get it sticky then position it on your eye, and gently tweak the position until you have it right before the glue is 100% dry

Contacts, then eyelashes. My reason is because when I put my contacts in, I usually tear up and my lashes get wet. If you put on false lashes and they get wet, they will fall off right then and there, or soon after.
*Also, a tip for putting on falsies: make sure the glue is a bit tacky before placing them on your lash line. If you wait about 30 seconds, you may be less likely to get glue all over the place. Just a suggestion ^_^v

When I put on fake lashes for costumes, I usually do:

Contacts, make up, lashes, make up again over lashes (touching up the eyeliner or putting more mascara on the lashes )

I don't wear make up and lashes a lot but I do wear contacts and as a rule of thumb I always put the contacts in first no matter what because I tend to use two fingers to open my eyes and one to put the contact in. Which when I have make up on messes up whatever make up I put on my eye and also my fingers are clean of any make up or glue that can hide in your fingerprints and such.

Like everyone else said, contacts, make-up, lashes, touch up make-up. I used to be terrible at putting lashes on, then I found a tutorial on youtube that made it so much easier for me to get them on and not get glue everywhere. It might help others out too.

I would say contacts, makeup, lashes, but I suppose it depends on how good you are at putting on lashes. For me, it's a breeze, because I wear both lenses and lashes every day, so it's bam, bam, done. Sometimes, I do forget to put in my lenses like the derp I am and have to do it post-lashes, although I don't recommend it; you think it's a sticky mess at first, but it's even worse when you accidentally tug off a corner and have to decide to fiix it via glue on tweezers or just take the whole thing off and do it again.

I was buying my first pair at a makeup shop a few days ago and asked the lady myself; she said "Contacts", makeup, lashes, then any other touchups you may have needed from putting them on". Lashes aren't supposed to get makeup or mascara on them and can be pulled off rather easily, which means makeup first would ruin them and contacts after would probably mean reapplying.

You should always put in your contacts first before you put on any products, you don't want to get them in your eyes.

And if you practice with your lashes the gluey globs of doom will become less common~

So Contacts, Makeup, Lashes.
