Breathing in a mask

I'm making a Slade mask (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...e/ea/Slade.jpg) and as you can see, there's basically no holes in it. The eye of mine is actually white tulle, so it is a hole, but that's basically the only ventilation I have, and it's really not enough for me to be able to actually breathe.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, are there options on how to make it easier to breathe? I don't want to take it off every five seconds to breathe, because the mask is kind of the whole costume, if that makes sense. So, any suggestions?

The little slits at the mouth/chin area are supposed to be holes for breathing. I mean that's what I'd use them for, if you want them to look black just use more tulle (but in black) or some other kind of mesh. Unless someone is way to close to your face the slits should still look black.

You could also maybe get a balaclava mask if you really felt it necessary.

Yeah, those vertical slits at the mouth area are your breathing holes. Cover them with a layer or two of fine black mesh so that you can still breathe out of them.
Stormtrooper helmets don't really get all that much more airflow, and I haven't died yet.

When I made my boyfriend's Blue Spirit mask, I covered the mouth with black nylon that I stretched so it was a little thinner. I can see the same practice being utilized if you wanted to cover the backside of the mouth slits. No one would be able to see your mouth but you'd still be able to breath!
