how to keep a wig from falling off your head?

if there's already a post somewhere about this please send me a link. I couldn't find it while I was looking.

I just bought a stocking wig and every time I put it on it keeps falling off, or like pulling backwards.

How do you guys help keep your wigs securely on your head?

i sew in wig clips to the front of my wig. usually there is a reason however that the wig is pulling. there is a chance that the wig you have is too small for you....

I usually put a TON of bobby pins in! Put some above your ears, just above your temples at your forehead, a few in back, and where ever you feel the wig is NOT secure.

Wig tape -- that shit can work magic. My Rapunzel wig weighs about four or so pounds, and it kept slipping off for very obvious reasons. I put wig tape just under where the band for the wig cap that holds your wig together sits. Just press it down on the tape, and your wig won't go anywhere. It's not terribly painful to take off later either, although I do advise avoiding the fine hairs at your hairline, because it is easy to get the tape stuck on it, and it hurts to pull it off.

I sewed 2 toupee clips (found at Sally's Beauty Supplies) into my heavy ponytail wig and those really helped a lot! I also used this tutorial for gathering my hair underneath the wig cap and that also made life easier! http://taeliac.deviantart.com/art/Tu...curls-45164922

I'm thinking of trying the toupee clips or open bobby pins...

The large pin as call just hair pin and you can get them from dance supplies stores under the brand call BunHeads.

I use them to keep my massive hair in check before putting on my wig.
