The only sad part about it all is we won't all be ready til somewhere near October with it all, since that's the best con we can all get to and have ample time to sew it all. Thinking I may make him earlier though and wear him around at a few other cons.

I'm completely remaking my Elincia armor for a convention in May while at the same time starting on Lissa for October. I'm a little worried about how long it's going to take to make Leanne since I'm doing the motorized wings but I'm shooting for summer 2014. We'll see how it goes.

I'm also tempted to make Lyn's new outfit...

So um, I've been hyped about the new game coming out, and since I can't do anything to make the date come any sooner, somehow this happened within the last 2 weeks...

So I'm bringing this to Katsucon, and making Falchion afterwards for the spring/summer.

i'm actually new to the thread (hi guys! =^.^=) but i was thinking about cosplaying as Sumia from awakening. problem is, i only have like 2 pictures to go by. Does anyone else happen to have some nice reference pics they can link me too?? Thanks for any help you can give!

Syrinx: Thank you! I was trying to get it done before the game came out, since I'll basically abandon all cosplaying to play it when it's released. XD The Fire Emblem wikia has some references for Sumia: Scroll to the very bottom.

I'm lucky to be getting some wing practice in for a Belldanady cosplay I'm making, so I can use what I learn to make Reyson's wings in the future. Or they may be interchangeable, I'll have to see.

thanks for the link! stupid question time, i just want to make sure i'm seeing these colors correctly for sumia.. the armor seems to be tinted light pink... and her clothes are shades of purple with pink thigh highs. and her hair is kind of an ashy brown? i wonder if i can find a wig that color.

do you guys think the wig in the cosworx store: Holly Long in the cool ash blonde color would work?

Zaiten, depending on the size and shape it could probably be interchangeable. At least it would be pretty close. The weird thing about Reyson is that he's got like this feminine beauty but he's still manly. I don't know how it makes sense but Fire Emblem makes it work.

Syrinx, I think purples would be the way to go. From what I can tell from the reference pics she's got pink thigh-highs under purple boots. I agree on the armor tint but it should be pretty subtle. As for the wig the cool ash would work but some thing darker might be more accurate.

I'm so Fire Emblem crazy. I love seeing people talking on this thread.

I left Nealuchi out. I didn't think anyone would mind. Also, Volke is randomly in there because our group had a Volke, and Vanguard Ike is in there for size reference.

Who would have guessed Ulki was the largest bird in the game? XD

riddel, I'm super excited to see this thread going again too. I <3 Fire Emblem. Great stories with endless cosplay possibilities. What's not to love?

I'm definitely thinking I can make the wings reusable. That will save a ton of money because feathers just arn't cheap. Blah. At least really nice ones arn't.

Love the size comparison. Based on height alone I'd probably be a good Tibarn or Naesala. xD But I don't think I can handle Tibarn's manly-ness and I'm torn between hating and liking Naesala.

I feel the same way about Naesala. He can justify some things with the blood pact but he's still a jerk. I do like that he told Tibarn that he would allow him to exact revenge once every thing was over. That sort of almost evened things out.

I would definitely try to use the wings for both costumes.

That height comparison is pretty cool and, no, I don't think any one minds leaving Nealuchi out. :P My husband gets to cosplay Ike and Tibarn. He's so lucky. I love how Leanne looks but I'm wondering if I can actually pull off her demeanor. On a lamer note, we're remaking all of Ike and Elincia's armor. It was so heavy. At the start of the convention all of it fit snug but by the end it was falling down because it had stretched the leather so much. Here's hoping this method is better. -crosses fingers-
