I have been putting off creating this top for a while and now I have most of the rest of the costume done. The logistics of how to put this together are just... throwing me off though.
And I have huge boobs so I DEFINITELY need the support from a bra, and I'm wanting to get an underbust corset to cinch me in. But how the hell would I put both of them together Frankenstein style without adding bulk/pinching my boobs and armpits?




I will mostly be fine just winging it myself but please PLEASE if anyone has useful tips or even just things to think about/keep in mind while drafting and sewing?

I'd just make a corset: one with lower bust cups, and lower back line. basically picture an underbust corset with back lacing section lower than usual and bra cups on top... except you will use some flexible boning a la regular overbust corsets. that way, you get the cinching you want and the bust support. If your skill is up to it, I would just integrate the corset into the top, otherwise, adding snaps on the base and top garment so you can ensure the corset doesn't show when you move around would be a good idea.
