Cosplayers of Arina Tanemura's Works at AX 2013?
I thought a gathering of cosplayers (and fans, of course!) from the works by Arina Tanemura would be fun! She has created many beautiful manga, including:
Full Moon wo Sagashite (my personal favorite!) The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne Sakura Hime Kaden: The Legend of Princess Sakura Mistress Fortune Time Stranger Kyoko I.O.N. and many others! For AX 2013, I'm putting together my Sakura cosplay (hime version) from the manga Sakura Hime Kaden: The Legend of Princess Sakura. I'm looking forward to wearing a junihitoe, and it was fun making the hiogi fan to go with the cosplay. The dear Giyari will be cosplaying as Aoba if all goes well, so x2 the excitement!  Please let me know if you'd like to have a gathering. If more people seem interested I will be happy to come as Meroko Yui! She has always been my favorite anime girl and I actually wanted to cosplay her this year.

I love Arina Tanemura's stuff.
My friend cosplayed from The Gentleman Alliance for PMX 2011 and it was SO AWESOME! I would love to see her works get more cosplay representation.

I originally wanted to cosplay Finn Fish from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, but I think I scrapped it when I started making group plans with friends (and realized the wings would be hard, pfft). I realized this weekend I might have two cosplays I can add to my list, so I'm thinking of going through with it and cosplaying Finn.

As AX approaches (hooray!) and it doesn't seem a gathering can be done (dawwwww!), I wanted to say please feel free to say "hi" to me at AX.
I'd probably be able to recognize characters quickly, but just in case I don't I won't be hard to find wearing my 12-layer kimono. I will also be Dark Saber as pictured in my profile, too. |
