Star Ocean 2 for 2013
Hi! I've been attending AN while cosplaying Claude C Kenni [SO:2] for a few years now. In the past couple of cons I've met two other cosplayers who come dressed from Star Ocean 2 as well, including one Ashton cosplayer and a Rena! For this year we coordinated over DeviantArt and did up a photoshoot with the three of us.
We're hoping to recruit some more cosplayers and fans of the series / game to come with us and amass a bigger group for next year! We so far have a Claude [myself], a Rena and an Ashton, and we're looking for more of the cast! Doubles is certainly fine, but we're hoping to have a more diverse group. =] We'd love to see: -Celine Jules -Leon D.S. Geeste -Dias Flac -Bowman Jeane -Precis Newman -Opera Vectra -Ernest Raviede -Noel Chandler -Chisato Madison Celine is one we're hoping for a lot, to round out the core group, but we'd love to have anybody join from the character cast! As time goes on I'll be able to upload more pictures from the photoshoot this year in 2012. Please post and PM me if you're interested! |

I think i saw you on the Friday as Claude. I'm playing the PSP remake currently. Celine Jules is a great character but physically I would not be able to do here justice.

And that is fair. Celine is kind of a bold costume, eh? Two of the four main female characters are, actually, although Chisato can be done either way I suppose. =P But yeah, if you should feel like joining us as any of the characters, please let me know! And enjoy the game! =D |

I've actually been wanting to make Celine for AGES!!! This makes me so happy to see! It's still too far to tell for sure, but I might be able to make her next year.

That's great to hear! We really hope you can make a Celine cosplay and meet up with us. =] If we can muster enough people, we may be able to schedule an official time to do a Star Ocean shoot next year. Fingers crossed. =D Please let me know as time goes by!

AHH! Star Ocean 2 was my childhood game OMG! Too bad my cosplays have already been decided for next year or I would have totally cosplayed as Ashton Anchors

Mostly bumping, but I'm currently working on Claude's communicator [my own design because I don't know where I'd possibly find a source =P] and it's coming along pretty nicely! Yay for unnecessary accessories and props! =D

Well, I haven't been able to get started on Claude 2.0 yet [still need to learn to seeeeew and probably draw my patterns, herp], but I have secured a weekend pass for Anime North this year and I'm looking forward to the con! I'm probably going to spend some time over my reading week getting started on my actual cosplay patterns and maybe examining some things... Might look for some scrap fabric to practise with too.
In the spirit of anticipation and excitement for a con and a particular cosplay, I'd again like to extend an invitation for other fans of Star Ocean to join our group this year! While diversity is cool, we're honestly looking to find more SO fans [SO2 in particular; represent and whatnot!] to hang out with in formation. Feel free to send me a message if you're interested in joining us! I'd love to hear from fellow SO fans that'd like to bring the characters to life with us. =] |
