Me and my boyfriend are thinking about doing the two from the short film.

For him, do you think using Arda's benny in black, and then trimming and brushing it out would work/?

But for her, I think I'll use spanish brown, but how do I get the wig into that style with the poofy bit at the bottom? Or the pushed back fringe? I'm not sure if I would need a lacefront wig.

I would be really cool if you did them in grey scale instead of trying to convert them to colour, including body paint in gret. *_* Well the vintage red lipstick she wears. lol

The Benny in black is a good choice with some straightening.


She has the classic Ariel band that defies gravity.

The bangs and the bottom need to be set in larger curlers (or over foam noodles) and heat set the wig with boiling water and let dry.

The bottom hair need to bet set with hairspray to hold the shape

Once that's done you need to style the bangs with teasing the root for volume and lift to the front hair line and set the roots with hairspray. Then sleeking the top layers over that and to the side.

I think the grey is too light and the black too dark.
I might buy the malinda or the dude and put in some black wefts to make low-lights and make it look a little darker.
Or get a black wig and add silver wefts.

The grey wig you can dye darker grey with RIT or Dylon fabric dye in black.

The raven might be a good choice for a base colour in the Matilda come in the Raven which is a black blue.

Also Elmers make irridecent fabric marker that might give you nice highlighter over black

The white soild colour also works to tint a wig lighter.

Or if (and it's a big if) you have an airbrush handy you can use acrylics to add highlighters to the wig.

But would dying a silver one work? wouldn't the dye just be a tint of blue or whatever colour the ink/dye?

Has anyone tried spraying the Elmers with alcohol from a bottle?

Unlike Sharpie, fabric dyes are true black.

I've had luck myself tinting my wigs darker with Dylon myself.

You can do the same thing with a curling iron and pinning the hair in place to cool down. Or roll the hair ahead of time and do the hot water method.

Thinking about getting the buttercup and short wefts in Natural black then sewing in the wefts to make the wig Disney thick.
I'm going to try a idea I had for getting the shape by going back on the rollers.
