Why do Homestuck cosplays have to be so addictive?? I'm trying to do some other different cosplays too but it's easier said than done when Homestuck is taking over my plans.

I just got finished on a full test for Cronus, I'm pretty happy with it honestly but there are a few things I'd like to fix. I wouldn't mind some feedback, though! But chances are I'm probably already aware of and planning to fix up any issues.

Ugh, I know how you feel. I am trying desperately to not add trickster Dirk on top of all the other Homestucks I am planning on. Every time I try to work on a cosplay for another series Homestuck just pulls me back in.

I think it looks pretty great so far, right down to the accurate jean color. The only thing I would really suggest is to cuff up the bottom of your jeans to either above or over your boot since that's what a majority of greasers did. But that's more of a personal-style kind of thing.

Pretty much same ahaha but problem is cosplaying the same series ALL of the time is sadly draining a bit of my love for cosplay so I need to add some variety in there.

I'm doing a fairly simple Aranea cosplay for a Valentine's meetup. Just a few closet items and a dress I bought today. Painting the glasses right now. :3

Hey guys! I'm just starting on a Karkat cosplay and needed help with a couple things.

First off: Wig. How do wig.
I've got this wig: http://matchwigs.com/home/39-x-tax-v...g-cosplay.html (And I totally recommend it, it's about on par with the Arda wig I own.)

I'm mostly stumped about the spikes. I know they should all sort of be swept up and to the side but I'm really not sure how to do that. I can spike one side fine, but trying to get the opposite side to flow in the same direction is a pain so far. Where should the part be?

Also, if anyone could point me in the direction of a tutorial for cutting bangs that would be nice, considering I've accidentally ruined all the other wigs I've attempted that on. >.>


Next: I'm a fan of the turtleneck headcanon, and I've got a turtleneck that I'd love to use. The problem is it's sort of got vertical grooves like this: http://forum.retailmenot.com/attachm...ater-12.99.jpg I'm worried would cause problems/make it look bad. Best method for putting the symbol on a shirt like this? Or should I just get a different one without the ridges?

Aaaand lastly, any ideas for making this a quality cosplay would be appreciated. Karkat's my favorite character, so I really want to make this a great cosplay, despite how simple it is.

oh also i just wanted to say that i used this tutorial: http://ronnienotthebear.tumblr.com/p...-picture-obese but using Testor brand acrylic paint somehow ended up making my horns turn out REALLY cool, with a texture sort of like crustacean chitin/shell? i dunno if that was just a fluke or what but yeah that's a really good tutorial.

Gonna piggyback off this and ask if you're familiar with what the colors look like irl and which you might recommend? And if it matter, in my case the makeup is the Ben Nye mix because I'm having a hell of a time finding material that looks good with it.

Thank you so much, Schweigie. This actually helps out a lot. At least for me. It at least gives me an idea since I did mix the Ben Nye. If it doesn't match I can get more paint and just let my friends have my mixed stuff or something.
