Visor for Helmet

I know there's a few around here that know their star wars.

I'm makin a helmet similar to that of boba fett's my problem is what to use for the visor. I need something cheap that'll be see through but that plastic dark color that you cant see the face of the person.

Suggestions?

Go to your local super store (Walmart for instance) and get some window tinting film. They sell a small roll that you can use, then just find some see-thru plastic that's sturdier and that you can contort to the shape you want. Stick them together as indicated on the films instructions and instant darkened visor.

Note that tint film doesn't have enough stretch to fit cleanly over compound curves or convex surfaces. It'll work great for simple curved surfaces though.

You could also try the Bounty Hunters Guild of the 501st and see if an armor-maker could see you a visor. I'm sure there's a number of people there who make Mando armor.
You could also try the Mando Mercs and the Dented Helmet.

I'm actually friends with several mando mercs, problem is they reccomendation is a welding visor, and they're outta my price range, and glass. I'm also on a deadline so that's really outta the question. =(

Huh, I could've sworn I've seen armorsmiths who make the visor... But I could be wrong, I don't have such a helmet.
But yeah, if you're on that much of a time limit that would put out that idea. Have you tried looking at a local Harbor Freight? Maybe they'd have something you could use, they have lots of face shields and stuff, and they often have coupons.
