My mom said I can't go to Katsucon this year, so I can't debut my Kougyoku cosplay...

However, she approved of me doing Kougyoku's dijnn equip for Otakon. This leads me to the question, how do I keep it up since the top is mostly open in the front? I have a small chest so I'm not exactly sure how its going to work. I was thinking of using a stretch fabric and then having invisible (clear?) thread across the open chest area. I'm not exactly sure how to make this so any help would be awesome.

^Well another option would be to wear a nude bodysuit underneath if you want it to show the amount of skin that hers does. Plus then you don't have to worry about any costume malfunctions.

While wandering around the internet I found this. I'm really tempted to buy some to reenact the scene after Morgiana activates her househould vessel for the first time.

Since it would be at Otakon, I wouldn't recommend using any adhesives (boob tape, etc).. the humidity alone would kill any hope you had for keeping it up and together (Except medical tape/pasties. You can -never- keep yourself too safe.). The bodysuit idea is a really good one, especially for being in a con environment. You can also use a thicker fabric to act as a base (Since I'm guessing you'd want to try and get the top part looking all aquatic and shiny.) and use clear straps to go across the front to secure. Attach bra cups and as much padding as you're comfortable with on the inside to give yourself the illusion of having more up top, then adjust as you see fit.

I'm going to cosplay Sinbad for anime expo and my bestfriend is going to be ja'far

So... uh... I wanted to do a Magi costume this year and was thinking this summer would be the earliest it'd be able to get done, but now my husband's decided he likes the idea, too, and wants to try to get 'em ready for a con in April. He'll be doing Sinbad and I'll be doing Ja'far.

Working on reference such and I'm curious: What kind of fabrics has anyone been using? I'm thinking linens and cottons, maybe some sateen for Sin.

rajamitsu: My friends who cosplayed Sinbad and Ja'far used linens for the entirety of theirs, and it ended up looking very classy and matched the "time period" I guess, because I think that cottons, linens and silk were the main fabrics being traded during the supposed time period. (We just studied all the old trade routes recently at school )

I got new pictures of my Judal this weekend. I have been redecorating my room for a while and I wanted to use it for pictures. I sadly didn't get to many since I was using a tripod and taking them myself. I'm going to get a friend to help me soon. But there are a few pictures I am quite happy with :3

His reason was that I look like him, but height difference

The anime's rolling along at a million miles an hour. I hope it doesn't overtake the manga. I don't want a repeat of Kenshin. D:

On another note, my Mor got me a pattern for her dress, so I'll be getting that made in the next few days. After today, I don't have another day scheduled at work until Thursday, so... Cosplay.

This is what I'm worried about too. D: And did they activate the curse-thing earlier than it was in the manga? 0_o

Also I was raging a bit inside when they showed Morgiana's silver household vessel. Even though I am overall more manga than anime accurate, it's still bugging me. >_>
