So sad that I don't have time to refine and sand down Lambent Light and I messed up on the red bands around her arms. :/

But everything else is done thankfully, except 2 things.

I dunno what to do with the tiny red lines that go around the edges of the top outfit. Do I just sew it or paint it on?

Do you have time to try both options on a fabric scrap to see which you like better? I imagine sewing with a narrow-width satin stitch would be faster than fabric painting, but I couldn't speak to which would look better because I've not done either of them myself.

So, I decided to go and add Asuna to my cosplay roster for Sakura-Con. Because I have no willpower and make a lot of rash decisions in the name of cosplay things that sound like fun.



A question for other Asuna cosplayers: How do you keep your socks from falling down? Especially the curved bit that's higher than the rest?

I ordered mine and they are hilarious. They came with elastic bands that go around your thigh to keep the curved top part up. Clearly I'm removing it, but I tried them on and they didn't work anyway. The socks end up around my calves whenever I move.

Latest update. I finished my armor, but it looks like complete crap....Well what did I expect with foam and no money lol

Anyway, Not only that, but I got my ears finally. They are a little shorter then I hoped, but they work at least..I'll get longer ones later and sell these..
I also finished my boot stuff (well mostly). I am using my Kingdom Hearts Organization XIII boot covers, and coving the design with the boot cuffs for Kirito, then I gotta buy elastic tomorrow. The elastic will go on the boot armor and hold it in place.

Next up, sword crap agian..Not sure i'll be able to get it done in time..REALLY hoping I do, but it's not lookin pretty..

I remember seeing something about thigh high glue somewhere, but then I lost the link after I reformatted my computer >: I shoulda been done wit Asuna by now but I'm running a little late due to the issue of very specifically colored binding tape X-x

Well, tomorrow is Katsucon and I got everything but the weapon prop done. I won't be able to wave the sword around in a threatening pose (joking obviously). ;_;

Just sewing straight lines on the top worked out; the sewing machine didn't make any gaps thankfully.

Sock glue like this? I've heard of it before, but haven't tried it out.



I think part of my socks-falling-down problem may also be that the socks are a little too small. The lowest part comes to just level with my knee, so there's no way they'll stay up on their own. I may either try to make the sock longer, or just make them toeless, to see if that helps them stay up.

Finishing up my sword. I just need to Gesso the other side, sand (then repeat like 3 times lol) paint and seal..After this I need the belting for the harness, and my cosplay will finally be done!!

I've left out references of her underwear "outfit" as well as her hospital robes for various reasons. I've also left out her two major outfits, which are her second Knights of the Blood Oath uniform (which she wears for most of SAO) and her ALO Queen Titania outfit, because there are amazing references online for them already.

Also, the new Photobucket is being dumb and won't let me rearrange the pictures properly. D: So they're in backwards chronological order.
