Okay, so I'm practicing becoming photogenic for some photoshoots at upcoming conventions. I've been taking photos at all different angles, but for some reason, in about 99% of the photos I take, I look like I have a lazy eye. It's always the same eye. I have some pictures where I look fine and actually look like I do in the mirror, but a lot of the time my eye seems just droopy.

(I don't remember exactly what I did to look good in a photo -- if I did, I'd be pretty much set.)

So, does anyone have any advice on making your eyes look good in photos? D:

It's a lot more common than you would think!

I find it helps to find out which angles minimize the look of your eye (typically looking too far to the side makes it worse). If you can help engage your eyes to move together momentarily before the photo is taken, that can help too.

If you're looking for a set of good photos, just make sure your photographer double checks their images as they shoot and to let you know if your eyes aren't matching up exactly in the images.

It might be easier to give advice if we saw a lazy-eyed photo.

Try different things. Tilt your head down and look up, or just roll your eyes up a bit. Have the camera shoot from above your eye-level (but if your feet are showing, only do this with the camera 15 feet back or more, or your legs will seem short proportionately). Low camera angles can close your eyes if you look downward. Use your eye muscles to open your lazy eye more. Try raising your eyebrow a bit. If all else fails, try using tape on your forehead, to lift your eye. It can be erased in photoshop.
