Famous Japanese crossplayers
I'm curious but are there any famous Japanese crossplayers? I've heard crossplay is a lot more mainstream and accepted over there to the point where guys take pictures of them the same they do as regular girls.
The only famous crossplayers we seem to have over here are "Man-Faye" and "Sailor Bubba." :/ |

Bad ones tend to be more memorable, that's why. The good ones on the other hand, are so good, that people don't know they are crossplayers, and in the end, blend among their opposite gender peers.
As for JP ones, I don't know. ProudAsian might though.

Men playing women in kabuki was celebrated in Japan, so that's another reason there's more acknowledgement/love for male crossplayers.

These are all females crossplaying as male characters, but... Natsumi Mitaka is the one who comes to mind for me. I totally thought she was such a hot guy as Yuki Kaito... until I saw her RomeCin!Miku cos lol. Aoi Takamura (well known for her Sakura Haruno) also crossplays (Shin Asuka, Prince of Tennis chars...). Arisa Mizuhara has also crossplayed (Cloud, Len, Hetalia).
Also, she's not Japanese, but Yuegene Fay (Thai) still confuses me. Akirago (Chinese) also made a pretty handsome boy, but I don't think she's very well known.

Ah. I wouldn't be surprised it someday an American crossplayer became famous. It'd probably be a case of someone that looks really hot as a cosplay girl that people can't tell is a boy, then people using their photos as a Bridget-type meme.

I'm not sure about any MtF famous crossplayers because I personally don't follow any of them on DA or on FB or whatnot. I find a lot of pretty ones online, but I don't know their names/cosplay nicknames >.<
Only one Japanese crossplayer comes to mind for me and that's Reika. She does such beautiful UtaPri cosplays and the amount of effort she puts into making her cosplays and makeup is amazing <3

Well if we were to go on that tangent, there's also Bou from An Cafe...they don't exactly do "crossplay" per se.
I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head right now...abooboo. Howabout someone from around the forums? |
