This was my first cosplay, but I was pretty satisfied with it. My friend helped me sew the costume, but I provided the materials and what I wanted done(I just lack the skills of using a sewing machine. Which I will fix on my new cosplays). I'm all open for critique, but keep in mind it was my first cosplay.

Flaws I know already:
My shoes really could be bigger and my friend didn't sew them on perfectly(I will fix it)
Some of my wig cap is showing(AND NO ONE TOLD ME!)
Make up was poorly done(I don't wear make up, will fix tho!)
Drawn star looks like crap I know
Need to style wig better(will fix)
Hand cuffs are navy blue not black(will fix)
Chain scythe has one indent that isn't black(will fix)
Hand sewing isn't the best on gloves, boots, etc.

This is pretty good.

For critique though, You pretty much hit the nail on the head except for one little thing..By cuffs, you mean the big wrist things right? I coulda swore they were a really dark grey alomst black, not navy blue..As for the shoes, they actually SELL shoes like his on some sites..Look up clown shoes and most the sites have those exact ones.

I really like the kusarigama though.

Thanks a bunch! Yeah I was thinking about clown shoes, cept those are really uncomfortable. Yeah the chain scythes took forever to make but there were worth it

Yea I kinda figured lol I don't like them either. If you want you should take a look ad how sora shoes are made. Using converse and clown shoes, they take them apart and attach them to the converse. That way they are still big, have a good dome look to them and aren't horrible to wear lol

lol Yep, and those are pretty cheap shoes too so that helps with cost lol

Nice attempt at a first costume! I really like the sickles.

for the applique on the collar, I'd suggest satin stitching it to hide the fray but give it a nice professional look if you have a machine (It's like putting the machine on a tight zigzag stitch)

for the eyebrows, I would suggest not making them so blue. For a more natural look, I would try covering your original brows lightly with foundation and tinting them with blue eye shadow since eyebrows are usually a little bit darker than the hair color.

Bobby pins are your friends when keeping your wig in place, and when re-styling the wig, you don't really need to use a lot of gel and stuff since his hair has pretty poofy spikes. I would try teasing the wig up (brushing the hair roots until they're slightly frizzy), hair spray and then use just a little bit of gel at the very tip tops to keep them together.
