Cosplay Help!!

Okay so...this will be my first time ever cosplaying and, well, I'm kind of a heavy girl. I mean, I've looked up some amazing cosplays and most of them are women half my size and I'm like, "ouch...can't do that." So, I was wondering if any of you have some ideas or something??? I mean I wanna look good. Really good if possible....I just don't have an idea so..no starting point. HELP!!!
