Wasn't really a huge fan of Twilight at the beginning of the series, but after seeing her turn into an alicorn, now I wanna cosplay her because she's just so adorable looking with her new wings. <3

Fellow bronies, I have an inquiry that I figured I should ask about, because I have an idea for a cosplay, but there are some logistical issues with this one.
Throughout the appearance of season 2 and three, there have been countless mentions of the one known as Star Swirl the Bearded, and starting with the end of season 2, I have started to gain an interest in cosplaying as a humanized version of it. (Obviously.) The problem is that, while the outfit is easy to reproduce, would it actually make sense on account the only records of it exist with Twlight cosplaying as him at Nightmare Night, or should I hold off until he finally makes his apperance? (Assuming he does.) It probably would make sense to cosplay as him because of it, and everyone may recognize it (complete with accurate bell counts) if it gets mentioned in photoshoots and Bronycon. I would have to be a bit creative because of it, and should he finally show up alter my outfit, but this is just at the planning level for now, so nothing has been set yet. |

I would just go ahead and make it. There's no way of knowing if he will ever show up in the show because he's from so far in the past.
Speaking of Star Swirl, I'd love to make a costume of Twilight dressed up as him. It's really hard to fit all my hair under a wig, though. :/

HippieWriter-- My friend has hair that goes down past her waist, and still manages to get it in a wig. It's totally doable!
Some people do the pin curl method, whereas others braid their hair, then wrap it around their head and pin it before putting the cap on. Some of my friends even just shove their hair up into the cap, which I wish worked for me!

My hair goes down to my waist, too. I have a lot of it, but the hairs are thin. So I just use the twist-up method and hold it there while I put the cap on.

Oh man, I know that feeling. I already cosplay Twilight, and it'd be SO EASY to rig a wing harness into the dress I already have... it's ridiculously tempting.

Aaaaahhh, so I already have my 2013 Halloween plans for one of the princesses. I had been convinced to do Luna for the longest time, but Season 3 really had Celestia grow on me and I really don't know which princess to do anymore. Either way I need to start planning now if I wanna come up with a design. Stop being indecisive mind! DX

I'm glad I was able to find this, I need all the help I can get.
I'm working on a Gala!Vinyl Scratch cosplay, and the one thing that has me caught is the horn. Last year I used a plain wine flute and installed a set of LED lights into it, but that was far too heavy to wear for a long time. Now that I'm working on this new variation, I want to have a smaller, spiraled horn that I can just attach the LEDs into that way without it being a massive pain in the forehead. Anyone know where I could find some moderately-opaque white plastic spiraled material for this? Here's a reference pic: http://nekozneko.deviantart.com/art/...ress-227547575 |

Would you guys care if I created a thread for people to share their MLP closet cosplays? I'm always fascinated by the styles and details that everyone puts together, and how you choose to do the cuite marks. It's practically it's own art form, lol.

First time poster on this thread so please be patience.
I'm attempting to do a Rarity outfit and can't seem to decide on the right color wig. The Ultraviolet color seems the best, but doesn't come in a curly style. The Electric Purple one however, is a far second but comes in curly styles. Here's a link: http://arda-wigs.com/pages/purple Any opinions or help would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you!

Between the two purples you listed, though, you don't seem to like the Electric Purple. Since Arda's wigs are heat-resistant, you could just use a regular hair curler to style a straight Ultraviolet wig the way that you want! (Make sure you get a wig slightly longer than what you intended, though-- it'll look shorter once you curl it!)

Either way, curling a wig is pretty easy - I restyled my Pinkie Pie wig to be ultra curl floof - it only took me about an hour with two boxes of curlers and a hair dryer. Good luck ![]()

Has anyone made wings from foam sheets "foamies"? I am making some, I'm making them in one piece, but I'm not sure how/where to attach the elastic band that will be what I use to put the wings on.
