Bottle Miku
So I was thinking about cosplaying Bottle Miku, but I have one tiny problem. HER HAIR IS WATER. >.< Any ideas on what to do?

This would probably be better in the wig forum.
If I where to go about it myself I'd buy a pastel blue base wig and add pastel tones of pink or purple into it. Something like Arda Wig's 'Candy Striper' in Harmony looks similar to what I am assuming you'd want out of the color? ![]() That is I am assuming you want a sort iridescent multi-tonal effect. Since her hair is essential large blobs I would avoid blunt edges and use spray to round off the bangs and ends of the wig. Possibly use wire hidden inside the hair to made individual 'drops' coming off at the ends. I'd definately say move this to the wig forum where people may be more knowledgeable.

Man I have no idea. It's going to be really hard to recreate water... hair.
Other than getting a wig that looks similar in color, the only other thing I can think of is somehow making it out of hollow, flexible, clear plastic.. and then stringing the fish in somewhere. Or you can make some parts hair - some parts plastic interweaving it artistically and such.. EDIT: One suggestion I will give is to think of a character that also has water hair/parts, look of their cosplays, and see what others did for it. May give you some ideas. Right now I can't think of any popular ones off the top of my head. Last edited by AshofRebirth : 02-28-2013 at 03:08 PM. |

all i can think is that maybe you could do something with like...a clear vinyl or some other type of plastic-y material?? or maybe use a short wig for the hair on her head but then a translucent and shiny fabric for the pigtails??

resin covered ballistics would be crazy heavy! id go with a thin plastic sheeting, like sintra or super thin acrylic. then paint the colors.

I'd say just to use a normal, pale blue wig and add some fish hair clips to it.
Making the wig shiny will just ruin everything. Just stick to a normal non-shiny wig. |
