Hey, I finished my Pioneer and just wanted to post some photos.
So I don't clog up this thread and prevent everyone from seeing the post above mine(sorry I can't help you, but I'm sure somebody here can!!) I'm just linking you guys to it.
If you feel like it, you can check out the other albums too. My and my sister's ACR and ACB costumes are on the FB page too.

For anyone who was considering the Desmond hoodie, here's a video of an unpackaging. It looks nice enough, but I'm personally not so thrilled with having the embroidery on the back having been added on lastly and a loose/uncovered zipper on the hood.. but that's me. Take it as you will!

Opinion needed: Do you guys see her hair as more black, brown, or super dark brown? I've pulled up all of those shades in photoshop, depending if render or art.

I personally see it as a very dark brown, since in the game it looks like it has brown tones as opposed to being stark black.

I agree with KennyCiel, it looks much more of a very dark brown than a black.

Well black isn't technically a natural hair color. And often it looks very fake in wigs(probably due to that fact that people don't have black hair, but idk).
I agree with everyone else, deep brown for sure. It will look the best.

Oh, perfect. Real hair time! I'm also excited to have found this by chance yesterday:

Time to get to weaving a shirt!

On another note, does anyone have the AC3 artbook that they could use to share character designs?

Even better, I've been able to rip and decompile things again. Does anyone need any references for any character in any of the games?

-pokes head into thread- Welp I guess I'm in the right place.

So I've decided to give an Ezio cosplay a try, I'm not quite sure if I'll have enough time to do his Assassin costume right now so I thought to start with his younger self (nobleman costume?) (not entirely sure if there's a proper term/name to use for that costume).

Couple Ref images:

Really I just need to figure out what materials I'd need to gather to start putting it together. The undershirt is easy enough to do, but what worries me the most is the doublet and all the leather work. I guess if I could find a brocade that was similar that might work for the doublet, but I'd have to do some serious fabric hunting.

Finally finished KaniehtÝ:io ..still processing photos from this last weekend. Totally amused that I can use my old makeup from when I still had a tan and my own hair for this. Everything was made from complete scratch. We did have to cut things short due to almost being attacked by a rather...upset goose. I don't care what anyone says: If a goose starts coming near you and you don't have food.. run.

Hello all!

I'm new to the AC world but I've been doing pretty much non stop research for the past few months (give or take). My partner and I are planning in in the process of making costumes from AC, AC2, and AC IV. I'm doing Altair, Ezio, and James, where as he's doing Altair, Malik, and Edward.

Anyways, I stumbled across this thread while trying to fine a pattern for Altair. I started reading the thread from the beginning and I'm currently on page 74. I do plan on reading through the rest of it. But I want to thank all those out there that provided awesome info and shared all your process from start to end. I stored all that useful info away to be used later. It's just sucks that a lot of the early links posted are dead now. But again, thank you for what was provided!

So my reason for posting (other than saying hi to everyone) is that I come offering things. See, I got bored a few days back and decided to try my hand at making one of the patterns. The hood pattern for Altair to be more precise. After an hour or so trying to make a mock up pattern out of paper towels (yes, paper towel), I decided to just do the "pin and drape" thing. The "pin and drape" worked and I now have a pattern for Altair's hood. And with no seam running around the neck might I add.

So the question is, is anyone interested in having the pattern? If you'd like pictures of what the final product will look like, that's fine, I can do that. Just keep in mind that it will be of the muslin mock up so the edges are still raw. It's just to give an idea of how it'll look and fit when done. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested and also when I figure that out.

Hello!
I just wanted to thank everyone who posted in this thread and shared their insights. I debuted my AC2 Ezio cosplay at Megacon last month! I still have work to do to keep improving this cosplay, but I wanted to share!
