Early 19th Century Fabrics

Hello! I'm looking to make a simple early 19th century day dress. Because of Jane Austen fever, I've seen a million such examples all over the internet. I'm still unsure, however, how I should go about getting an accurate fabric. I would like something simple, like a cotton blend, and I'm also on a bit of a budget. I've seen historical fabric sites, but the prices are a bit out of my range. Does anyone have recommendations of fabrics, solid or patterned, that might be used?
