A few questions about epoxy.

I had just glued two Styrofoam balls and rings to a broom stick, and I was thinking of coating the Styrofoam with epoxy. But, before I do anything, I have a few questions involving epoxy.
First of all would you be able to use epoxy paint on porous surfaces such as Styrofoam, or would it ruin the foam.
Furthermore, I had bought gold folk art paint from Jo-Anne's, so I was wondering if were to use epoxy on the Styrofoam; would I be able to paint over the epoxy with this type of paint or should I use something else?

Thank you in advance.

Yes on both counts, assuming you mean epoxy resin You would have a problem with polyester resin but epoxy is fine. I have used it directly on polystyrene before. I did use a little filler with it as well though.

The acrylic paint will stick to a degree but I found the best paint is acrylic spray paint. And then rub n buff over that
