MaiSheri - I would recommend PMing Kaijugal if you're not sure...I had a similar question a while back (a friend are planning to do something for the historical masquerade based on a film with costumes that are sorta-kinda historical), and she was able to provide a super helpful answer

so I've changed my mind... I'm going to be coming to this...
I plan to make Caterina Sforza for the Fantasy Masquerade... I still dont know all the rules, but I talked to the table staff at Con-G and they let me know that they don't have the rules as strict for this one, like you CAN wear your cosplay all day, and you CAN wear cosplays that are bought (in the halls) and you CAN wear cosplays you've worn before (in the halls)... and that its going to be a lot more relaxed then I seemed to be under the impression of...

I asked on facebook and they said they will release the hotel block exactly one year before the event, so the end of April...

Thanks. Are they only booking one hotel with the rate or are there a few with the convention? I have no idea how big Costume-Con is/will be.:P

The costume-con's size really varies from region to region. It's a lot smaller than Anime North though. I think only one hotel will be enough but it would be a pleasant surprise if they need more

yeah, they told me that the Sheridan would contain us all especially if people room in groups of 4 XP BUT I think the Crowne Plaza isn't too expensive normally so even without a rate, that maybe a good secondary option!
