What To Use For Tattoos

I hope I'm posting this in the right forum! I guess it would constitute as makeup advice...?

Anyway, I'm cosplaying as Yata Misaki from K this weekend, and I really wanted to have the HOMRA tattoo under my shirt for certain pictures.
What I'm talking about is the shorter character on the left below:

Originally, I was just going to use a stencil and draw it on with some sharpie. I was thinking that if it leaves any residue, I could dab that off with a paper towel or napkin and then spray a little hairspray on it to keep it from smearing or rubbing off... but I'm just really concerned, because the shirt is white. I wouldn't want it to rub off onto my white shirt at all.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a better way to go about doing this?
Thanks so much in advance!

1)your pic isnt working, luckly i know the character
2)personally id use the stencil and a hydracolor paint from either krylon, ben nye, or wolfe fx. then seal it w a barrier spray. it wont rub off onto your shirt, i used it for full arm tattoos in black and hugged someone in full white and had no issues
if you dont want to go this route, a waterproof eyeliner then sealed w hairspray will also work

I use Sharpies for tattoos all the time, and my protocol is this:

1) Draw tattoo
2) Use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip for all the shading, and for cleaning up the lines
3) Use setting spray
4) Use setting powder

You could use tattoo paper.

I'd look into alcohol based body ink too. Temptu Dura Pro is a brand that is pretty much intended for use as temporary tattoos and can last up to 5 days.

Thanks everyone! I know that this response is really late. I didn't get to see any of these responses before the convention, so I just wound up using sharpie in the end. These will be great for future reference, though!

The red & black sharpie DID rub off onto the inside of my shirt a little bit, but not enough to show through the front or anything (thank goodness).
I wanted to wash what's there out, but I'm worried that it will just bleed through the front if I try. Any suggestions for what to use for this, or should I just leave it alone since it can't be seen on the outside how it is now?

Anyway, I'll definitely be putting your suggestions to use the next time I wear this costume. Thanks again!
