Okay, so first of all I apologize if this isn't the right place for this. But that said, here goes.

I'm wanting to cosplay Sailor Jupiter for a con in the near future (May) Problem is.. I don't sew, at all.. and I don't think a month or so is enough time to learn, especially when dealing with things alike.. stretchy fabric and the like. As far as commissioning goes, I -did- make a request for a commission, but I'm somewhat afraid of my deadline being too soon, or the price being out of my budget...

That said, are there any decent Sailor Senshi costumes online anywhere? Whether e-bay or an online store. I know a lot of them look like crap.. but I figure there has to be one out there that doesn't, or at least not too much.

Soo anyone have any experience in this area?

If you're going to buy one online you're better off buying a more expensive one. The cheaper they are the worse they look. This looks like a good one but you never know. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sailor-Moo...item3a7a77d194

Personally for me I found it easier making it myself. It was a lot cheaper and I think it looks better than the ones online. Learning to sew really isn't that difficult. ^^; Well if I DO end up buying one (which I only plan on doing as a last resort) I'm definitely going to go for a more expensive one. I know better than to expect to get a decent costume for $40 or something.

That said.. I really don't like it that much when people tell me that learning how to sew is easy. I know you're just trying to be reassuring, but in all honesty.. I think if something is easy or not is subjective. For me, I've tried sewing SEVERAL times. And I don't mean once and than gave up. I mean days of spending my evenings in front of the sewing machine, reading tutorials, watching youtube videos, trying to do "easy" things like totes and such..

^^; and I can barely manage to thread my machine. Soo in short, sewing is EXTREMELY difficult for me. Not gonna say it's impossible for me... buut I don't see myself learning how to make an entire outfit by May 24th.


That said, if that Sailor Venus is your first costume, it's quite nice!
