Also, I have a quick question. Does anyone have any recommendations for doing the bows... like actual bows? As much as I value the sort of go to makeshift bows, I really want to try making them like a long strip, and building a bow from there. Any thoughts?

I pretty much do this method. (I am god-awful at explaining things, so finding tutorials I go! XD;; ) One extra step I add though is top-stitching the tail section after it's nicely ironed and before attaching it to the bow portion, both to ensure there's no chance of weird edge-rolling, and because I like how clean it looks.

(I really hate new Photobucket, what's even the point of having the option of original full-sized images if only you can access them? You already can access them on your own hard drive!)

Aww, thank you so much Prissi! I really love that furisode and I feel so lucky to have stumbled across it, and being able to lovingly repair a loose seam and a small stain. I'm currently totally dismayed by stupid midterms and essays at the moment, so I haven't been able to work on anything. D: Hopefully my roommate can help me hem my skirt tomorrow so I can add the horsehair and see how that went though!

I'm trying to find some better photos but there wasn't many photographers around. I'm considering trying to find a good photographer willing to get some good photos but again there aren't many in my city.

Alright, I'm admitting defeat in getting the refurbished S Saturn done in time for Sakuracon next week. XD It's not even that I can't (the main problem is needing to make another new collar - it's just too narrow and short in the front, almost looking like a PGSM-style fuku), but my current leotard fits poorly due to my improving posture since last year, and I need to put off making a new one as long as I can to allow for more posture improvement. I'd rather not rush out something I'm not 100% happy with, and it'll be a lot more fun anyway to take my time and work on this alongside Super Saturn's parts. I am very happy with my refitted skirt and improved hiproll, and I also improved the symmetry in my front bow, so it's not like I didn't get anything finished.

So Myu Saturn is rotating back in to take its place. *u* It'll be nice to get some photos of it with the remade earrings and brooch. I haven't gotten a chance either to take it out since I lost weight and toned up.


Edit: lol, I had forgotten I can't zip up Myu Saturn's back myself anymore because of my back muscle. XD If I hadn't known this from a previous try-on I would've panicked and thought it didn't fit at all anymore. Either way, I'm adding Myu Saturn's third leotard remake to the to-do list. I should also order that black tricot lamé and make new bows before these poor fragile tissue lamé bows disintegrate. (I can't believe they're the originals even, I first made this beast in 2005!)
